My child friendly consulting room.

E. Faith Miller

Your Partner in Parenting Children with ADHD

I am an expert parenting coach, and my specialisation is providing guidance and support to parents of young children (ages 3-10) who have Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

My practice is informed by leading global health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), to ensure you receive the most credible and effective advice.

My core purpose is to empower parents like you with knowledge, practical strategies, and a sense of understanding and hope. I operate from a place of empathy and support, recognising the unique challenges you face while also helping you to see and celebrate the incredible strengths your child possesses.

My Evidence-Based Approach

Empathetic & Non-Judgmental

My first step is always to listen and validate your experience. I understand that parenting a child with ADHD can be rewarding but also very challenging.

It's crucial to remember that ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, not a character flaw, and neither you nor your child is to blame.

Strengths-Based Focus

While we'll tackle challenges head-on, I believe in focusing on the positive. I will help you identify your child's individual strengths and build on them.

The same brain that struggles with certain tasks is often the one that possesses incredible creativity, energy, and the ability to hyper-focus on things that truly capture their interest.

Child-Centered & Practical

I provide concrete, actionable strategies grounded in evidence. This includes:

  • Psychoeducation: I will explain the core symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity in simple terms.
  • Behavioral Strategies: We will work on creating predictable daily routines and structure, giving clear instructions, and using positive reinforcement like praise, which is more effective than punishment.
  • Environmental Modifications: We can discuss changes at home and liaise with your child's school to create an environment that supports their success.

Collaborative & Holistic Partner

Think of me as a partner on your parenting journey. We will develop a comprehensive, holistic shared treatment plan that addresses psychological, behavioural, and educational needs. Your preferences and goals are central to this process.

ADHD is a chronic condition, it is best managed through a partnership that can include your child's primary care clinician, teachers, and other professionals, ensuring continuity of care.
